What is the difference?

FIT’s signature package is our premium program offering full service tour components that includes experienced staff onsite over race weekend dedicated to premium package travelers. The hotels used are more upgraded, luxury properties, and programs offer a turnkey itinerary to support your race weekend - designed by FIT London Marathoners & spectators for our marathoners & spectators.

The ESSENTIALS package is a program that provides the basic essentials over race weekend. It includes hotel accommodations in a 3.5/4 star centrally located hotel with feasible walking or public transit to the race start/finish, breakfast daily, option to join the shakeout run, remote support of the FIT team, and entry to the marathon. The ESSENTIAL package is very simple and allows you to add to your stay as you see FIT. Pre-race dinner/getting to the start is on your own.

Both packages include breakfast daily, all taxes, hotels centrally located in the city, within walking distance of landmarks, restaurants, and most importantly the race finish! Pre-departure travel and race communication support from FIT and dedicated final travel documents/itinerary before departure.

GREAT SCOTLAND YARD: Another gem in the heart of London and steps from the finish line and the most iconic landmarks, this hotel is one of London’s most historic and cherished buildings. Class, elegance, color and creativity, we love this property. Enjoy the hidden gems and art of this property as well as the feel of living in Westminster neighborhood. WALK FROM THE FINISH: 350M

THE DILLY: Returning for a second year and hosting our BASIC package over marathon weekend - this historic property dates back to 1904! The Dilly offers an incredible location in the heart of the city & bustling Piccadilly (hence the name). Funky, historic, recently under new ownership (formerly the Le Meridien) - the hotel location and price is tough to beat over race weekend. The hotel FITS into our programming as a wonderful option for race weekend accommodations appealing to most travelers!

WALK FROM THE FINISH: 700M

ROOMS:

Marriott County Hall: One bed rooms are King Beds and Two bedded rooms are 2 doubles or 2 queens (very limited). Thames view rooms have a king bed only; they are upgraded options with views of Big Ben, the London Eye, and/or Thames River. Rooms tend to be spacious and comfortable for 3 adults sharing beds or 2 adults/2 children. Room decor is fresh, modern, and London themed.

Great Scotland Yard: Rooms are courtyard view King or Twin rooms only. Twin rooms are rooms with 2 twin beds. Triples are not available at this location. Rooms at this property are more closely aligned with European size rooms offering a cozy/boutique experience. Room decor is creative, trendy, and quaint.

The Dilly: Rooms are more ‘historical’ as the building is older. Rooms are standard views. Superior rooms offer double beds (limited king size beds & rooms with 2 beds available).

FIT LONDON ESSENTIAL ITINERARY

DAY ONE | APRIL 23RD

Welcome to London! After landing in London, make your own way to the hotel. Check in is 3pm; if you arrive earlier you can leave your bags with the concierge. We will depart for the expo at 2:30pm and return about 5:00pm. Try to stay up as late as possible today to get on local time!

DAY TWO | APRIL 24TH

Breakfast is included today.

If you missed the expo visit yesterday, please make your own way to the expo to grab the weekends’ big ticket: Your London Marathon Race Bib! Rest of the day free to explore on your own the best that London has to offer and sort out dinner plans for tomorrow!

Opt to add a ticket on our London City Tour this morning - 8:30am-12:30pm.

DAY THREE | APRIL 25TH

Opt to join FIT for an early morning shake-out run. Otherwise its a free day to explore London, return to the expo, enjoy a matinee show or rest in prep for tomorrow. Tonight make sure you make a reservation for pasta as restaurants will be full! We wish you a good night sleep!

DAY FOUR | APRIL 26TH

Time to run the 2026 TCS London Marathon! Enjoy the day on the course racing, running, walking or spectating! Best of luck to all the competitors and a big thanks to all the supporters. 

DAY FIVE | APRIL 27TH

Congratulations on your marathon experience! We hope that you enjoyed your time in London and wish you a safe journey home or on your continued adventures. If you are joining us in Edinburgh or Paris, enjoy the day to relax and pack for our departure tomorrow.

FIT LONDON SIGNATURE ITINERARY

DAY ONE | APRIL 23RD

Welcome to London! After landing in London, make your own way to the hotel. Check-in is at 3pm check-in. Today, meet your FIT team; if you arrive earlier and your room is not ready, leave your bags with the bellman and take a stroll around your new neighborhood! Also stop by to meet your FIT team at the hotel and grab your welcome amenity. Our first event is our departure to the expo to collect our race bibs. We will leave about 2:00pm so best to book AM arriving flights. Upon return, join FIT at our welcome reception in private London Eye Pods and enjoy a quick bite to eat before it’s time to get a good nights’ sleep at the hotel.

DAY TWO | APRIL 24TH

This morning, stretch out the jetlag and airplane seats with our FIT Stretch class. Breakfast is included today. This is a free day to settle into the area, get used to the time frame, and enjoy some London site seeing. We will make some recommendations throughout the year of things to do and see. Maybe stroll by Buckingham Palace and along the Thames, maybe an afternoon tea, the Beefeater Tour at the Tower of London, the Churchill War Rooms, a visit up the Shard, a stop at Penny Lane or a Harry Potter tour - there are so many things to do!

DAY THREE | APRIL 25TH

Opt to join FIT for an early morning shake-out run and then our race-brief where we will answer any questions you have about race day, getting to the start, spectator spots. Breakfast is included today. This is a great day for a matinee show or Thames river tour to stay off your feet or rest in prep for tomorrow. Tonight it's pasta for marathon prep and a good night sleep!

DAY FOUR | APRIL 26TH

Time to run the 2026 TCS London Marathon! Enjoy the day on the course racing, running, walking or spectating! FIT will host 2 cheering stations for spectators to join. Best of luck to all the competitors and a big thanks to all the supporters.  Later opt to join your FITguides and fellow runners for shared stories at our post-race celebration!

DAY FIVE | APRIL 27TH

Congratulations on your marathon experience! We hope that you enjoyed your time in London and wish you a safe journey home or on your continued adventures. If you are joining us in Edinburgh or Paris, enjoy the day to rest and relax before our departure tomorrow!

DAY SIX I APRIL 28TH

Extension Departures: After breakfast we will transfer to the train station for our train departures to Scotland or France!

MONDAY, APRIL 27TH:

Enjoy some much needed R&R after yesterdays’ run and spectating. Take the opportunity to walk Hyde Park, book a massage, enjoy high tea, catch a matinee or a later show and have time to pack for our departure to Edinburgh tomorrow.

TUESDAY, APRIL 28TH:

After breakfast, meet in the lobby with your bags to begin our transit to Edinburgh, Scotland. Upon arrival in Edinburgh, transfer to the hotel for check-in and enjoy the sites of Edinburgh Castle. This evening dinner is included at the hotel. Overnight: Virgin Hotels Edinburgh

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29TH:

After breakfast, enjoy a private walking tour of Edinburgh with local guide. Rest of the day free to explore the hidden treasures of Edinburgh, hike to Arthur’s Seat, partake in a whisky tasting and maybe book an evening ghost tour. Overnight: Virgin Hotels Edinburgh

THURSDAY, APRIL 30TH:

After breakfast, for those departing today, we wish you a safe journey home! For those staying an additional night, you have a full free day to book an experience of your choice - opt to explore more of Edinburgh, maybe venture via train to nearby Stirling and climb the William Wallace Tower, or make it a full day and journey out to Loch Ness & lakes region! The choice is yours.

FRIDAY, MAY 1ST: Today is our farewell, breakfast is included. Check-out is 12N.
