DAY ONE | THURSDAY, MARCH 4
Welcome to Tokyo! After arriving in Tokyo, make your own way to the hotel for 3pm check-in. Opt to meet your FIT guides at the hotel. Approximate visit to expo at 5:30pm this evening.
DAY TWO | FRIDAY, MARCH 5 Breakfast, join FIT on a half-day city tour with our local guide as we explore the city of Tokyo! Stops will include Asakusa Shrine, Meiji Shrine, and Tsukiji Market. This afternoon free for more exploration of Tokyo.
DAY THREE | SATURDAY, MARCH 6
Free day to rest up and get over the jet lag before the run tomorrow. Opt to book a tea tasting, enjoy a sushi cooking class, Tokyo Tower or karaoke before our pre-race dinner this evening at the hotel.
DAY FOUR | SUNDAY, MARCH 7
The day you have been waiting a long time for - time to run 26.2 miles through Tokyo! Enjoy the day on the course racing, running, walking or spectating! Best of luck to all the competitors and a big thanks to all the supporters. FIT looks forward to celebrating with you after at our post-race event early evening.
DAY FIVE | MONDAY, MARCH 8
Congratulations on your marathon experience! Time to journey home or opt to continue with FIT on our extension package to see beautiful HAKONE & KYOTO!

DAY ONE | MONDAY, MARCH 8
Free day to explore more of Tokyo and rest those weary legs! It is so important to have the day to recover, tour Tokyo without the nerves of a pending marathon, and pack before our extension departure. Take this time to enjoy your last night in Tokyo!

DAY TWO | TUESDAY, MARCH 9
After breakfast, board our FIT private bus to Hakone. En route we will visit the volcanic valley Owakudani, with active sulphur vents - try some boiled eggs straight from the hot springs! We will then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before taking the Komagatake Ropeway and conclude with a boat cruise on Lake Ashi before checking into our hotel.

DAY THREE | WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10
After breakfast, enjoy some free time this morning before we depart from Odawara Station for your bullet train transfer to Kyoto (please purchase lunch on your own for the bullet train). Upon arrival, we will tour Yasaka Shrine and explore the Gion district before checking into our hotel.

DAY FOUR | THURSDAY, MARCH 11
Today after breakfast we will depart to tour Arashiyama: Tenryuji Temple & Bamboo Forest & Kinkakuji. Rest of day free to explore Kyoto.

DAY FIVE | FRIDAY, MARCH 12
Today enjoy a local tea ceremony and lunch in Kyoto. We will also visit Kiyomizu Temple and Fushimi-Inari-Taisha shrine located at the base of Mount Inari, before we return to the hotel. (breakfast & lunch included)
DAY SIX | SATURDAY, MARCH 13
Departure day. It has been our pleasure to travel with you and we hope that you have enjoyed your travels with FIT. After breakfast, please make your own way to the airport for your departure home or onward to your next destination. (breakfast included).
Note transit to Kansai can be $45 per ticket via train or $135 USD for transfers.
CONTINUED TRAVEL: For those on the extension, opt to depart early on Saturday AM from Kyoto and journey with our guide via bullet train to Hiroshima. Spend the day at Itsukushima Shrine and visiting the Peace Memorial Museum & Park. Overnight Hiroshima.
Or, looking to complete another marathon? Run the Nagoya Women’s Marathon - usually scheduled for early March.
*Flights are not included in the itinerary. Closest return airport is Kansai (KIX) which is about 70-90 minutes from Kyoto proper. Some travelers did opt to return to Tokyo via bullet train and fly out of Narita or Haneda.

Pricing is total per room type booked for the stay you select and total number of travelers. Pricing is in USD and includes taxes. Space is limited on this package.

The Tokyo Package is a 4-night program beginning March 4 and concluding March 8.
Rooms are booked on a first come, first serve basis until sold out. FIT offers a boutique travel program to Tokyo and as such space is limited.
Flights to/from Tokyo, Kyoto and/or Hiroshima as well as transfers to/from the airport are not included.
Hotel rooms at this property are quite spacious.
A $850 USD per person deposit is due at the time of booking.
An additional $600 non-refundable deposit is required per person looking to book the extension program to Hakone & Kyoto.
Reservations are for travel only. FIT does not provide entry to the marathon. If you are looking to run the marathon you must secure entry on your own.
Final payment is due on or before November 20, 2026.
If you need extended nights and they are not available, you can still make the reservation and reach out to us via email regarding extending your stay!
FIT Tip: Extend your stay. We recommend adding a post-night to this program and if you think jetlag will be a problem - a pre-night. If you are not planning on booking a pre-night, please book flights arriving as early as possible on Thursday as our departure to the expo is at 5:30pm
Packages are priced per person. So if you are making a reservation for 1 traveler you will select a single room and book 1 package. If you are traveling with 2 people, you will select a double or twin package and book 2 packages. If you are traveling with 3, select the triple and 3 packages need to be booked.
